Millstar Construction was appointed by Genesis Housing Association to undertake a programme of disabled adaptation works to improve accessibility and independent living for residents. The project included the installation of new wheelchair-accessible ramps and handrails to provide safe external access, the construction of a fully compliant disabled WC facility, and the conversion of an existing bathroom to create a level-access shower room.
We also installed specially adapted kitchen units and worktops at reduced heights to accommodate wheelchair users, ensuring the kitchen could be used safely and comfortably. The works were completed within occupied properties, requiring careful planning and close liaison with residents throughout the project.
